Overview
Delhi has taken a major step towards sustainable and reliable energy by launching South Asia’s largest battery energy storage system at Kilokari, a densely populated region in South Delhi. This initiative aims to improve power supply, support renewable energy, and enhance grid stability in urban areas.
About the System
- The project was inaugurated on May 30, 2025, by Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood.
- Installed at the BRPL substation, the system has a capacity of 20 MW (40 MWh).
